French International Schools offer the French National curriculum, with students completing the Baccalaureate (High School Diploma) before graduation. This is recognized by both American and Canadian universities. Most schools are accredited by the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE). There are over 470 French International schools worldwide, with French as the primary language of instruction in most of these. In order to become fully accredited, schools must accept both French and foreign nationals, prepare students for French examinations and employ qualified French staff.
